What is Schema Markup and Why Should My WIX Website be Updated?

If you don't know what Schema Markup is, then pay close attention...

What is Schema Markup?
What is Schema Markup?

Schema Markup (also mistakenly spelled Mark Up) as defined by Expert Neil Patel is: " Schema markup is code (semantic vocabulary) that you put on your website to help the search engines return more informative results for users. "

How does this apply to your WIX Website?

Recently, in June of 2019, Google changed its algorithm twice. The first update didn't seem to have much of an impact on Search Engine Rankings for Pages, but the second one clearly did. If you are not getting consistent website traffic then there is something you can do to combat the changes and top the charts once again, or even for the first time...

WIX offers an area in the Advanced SEO where you can put in Schema Markup and Meta tags. You can add this code to your home page, product pages and your blog. Each instance will help Google and other search engines like Bing, better understand what is on your page. Only about 1/3 of websites are currently using Schema Markup, and those who do, can gain that advantage in search query results.

So how do you do all this? Well, you can go to schema.org and learn all about it. OR- you can save yourself 10 hours of trying to figure it all out and spend just a few hours with me.

My complete SEO course has expanded, and it will help you get your back end SEO in shape as well as help you better understand the role your blog has in organic SEO and helping you find new leads or sales. I walk you through things like keyword tracking, hash tags, long tail keywords and how to use them as url extensions. Of course we also make sure that all your meta tags are done - and most importantly the Schema.

After we go through this, we have to examine each page for its structure. Do we have the right number of H1, H2, H3 tags, and in the right place and order?

Once the back end SEO and Organic SEO have been optimized, it will be time to put out your Pay Per click advertising. We can cover both Google and Microsoft advertising, set up the ads, and learn where to manage keywords, budgets and billing info.

If you are serious about getting your website to work for you, then there is still a little work to do. We have to overcome the new updates to the Google algorithm and make sure that your website quality ranking meets Googles requirements. Weekly blogging might seem like a daunting task, but the return on your investment will be well worth it.
